Commercial Experience

Common to all our projects is Hunt Engineering’s interest in understanding and meeting the Owner’s goals for their project. We work closely with our clients to meet the mechanical and electrical needs of their project. Engineering systems appropriate for small light commercial projects are significantly different then those for a 250,000 SF building. From the sample projects below you can see Hunt Engineering is well experience in both large and small building systems.

Stadium Innovation Center:

Working with American Life, the building owner, Hunt Engineering provided complete mechanical & electrical engineering design services for this new, 280,000 square foot, six-story, mixed use building in downtown Seattle near Safeco Field. The building combined factory, office, retail and food service occupancies. This flexible use project provided great space for varied tenants in a large scale. The facility was designed and certified for LEED Gold. (2009).

First Step, Family Support Center:

Located in Port Angeles, Washington, this new 4,350 square foot, 2-story facility has a day care in the lower level and offices on the upper floor. The wood framed building is typical of many light commercial facilities. Working with Lindberg Smith Architects, Hunt Engineering provided full mechanical and electrical design of this publicly bid project. (2006)

HMS Host General Offices (SeaTac Airport):

This facility provides the administrative support for HMS Hosts many restaurants at SeaTac Airport. This new 2,500 square foot TI project included the complex coordination and utility connection requirements of working at a major airport. Hunt Engineering provided mechanical and electrical and communication systems engineering working with SCMA Architects. (2010)

Fibre Credit Union, Corporate Headquarters Building:

Located in Longview Washington this new, 35,000 square foot, 3-story facility was constructed in 2007. The high quality of construction is evident throughout the facility. Hunt Engineering worked with ehs-design and provided mechanical, electrical and low voltage systems engineering for this project. (2008)

Bremerton Ambulance Facility, Olympic Ambulance:

Hunt Engineering provided MEP engineering for this new, 6,000 square foot, 2-story ambulance facility. Similar to a fire station this facility provides sleeping, dayrooms and offices for the paramedics. Detached covered parking for the ambulances are also part of the project. Designed with Kenneth Hays Architects. (2006)

Port Ludlow Beach Club:

Originally built in 1967 this 30,000 SF sports facility received national awards. Working directly for the Ludlow Maintenance Commision Hunt Engineering Services provided full engineering services for a competitively bid replacement of the electrical power system and major upgrades to the mechanical system. (2013)

Long House Makah Tribe Neah Bay:

Hunt Engineering provided electrical & mechanical engineering design services for this new 23,000 square foot, 2-story w/basement, 20 unit apartment complex in Neah Bay. The mechanical system design included a highly efficient air to water heatpump system incorporated with in-floor radiant heating system. (Design completed: 2013)

Vintage Housing, Elk Creek Apartments:

This new 138 unit apartment complex had a total construction value of $13,000,000. Built in Sequim Washington, this is facility consists of one to three bedroom units. Hunt Engineering provided mechanical engineering for the complete complex. (2008)
